Terms of Use

These terms explain the launch rules for using Learning Through Stories.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Educational Use

Learning Through Stories is an educational family app. It provides historical stories, reviewed Story Journeys, Across Time dialogue episodes, and capped Historical Figures text and voice conversations for learning, listening, and family discussion.

The app is not a general chatbot, legal service, medical service, financial advisor, or substitute for a parent, teacher, historian, or religious leader.

AI And Historical Accuracy

Stories are generated with AI and may contain mistakes, omissions, or imperfect interpretations. Source notes and Truth & Imagination notes are provided to help families review what is known, uncertain, traditional, or imagined.

Across Time episodes are imagined conversations. They do not claim that the historical figures actually met or said the generated words.

Historical Figures messages are AI-created educational responses restricted to an approved source pack and documented boundary. Eligible direct conversations are not the person's real words or voice and may still contain errors. History's Warnings and Sacred Figure Study use neutral guides instead of impersonation.

Parent Responsibility

Parents are responsible for choosing the story level, choosing whether all Story Journey chapters are open, choosing the default Read to Me or Read Myself mode, setting Historical Figures permissions, reviewing generated text, approving final versions, and deciding whether a story should be submitted for Curator's Pick.

Audio and images are generated only after text approval.

Content Boundaries

The app may refuse or redirect requests involving graphic sexual content, pornography, graphic gore, slurs, hateful framing, invented scripture, fake quotes, extremist praise, or immersive sympathetic viewpoints from tyrants, genocidal leaders, torturers, slave traders, sexual predators, persecutors, terrorists, cruel criminals, or similar figures.

Restricted figures may be studied through a neutral History Guide but cannot become first-person personas, voices, companions, or portrait-led heroes. Sacred Figure Study uses a neutral guide and cannot impersonate a sacred figure, invent divine speech, or claim spiritual authority.

Purchases, Credits, And Retries

Subscriptions and credit purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple may manage billing, refunds, subscription cancellation, and purchase history according to Apple's rules.

Pause Account opens Apple's subscription controls and completes only after Apple confirms monthly renewal is off. Unpause Account restores app access only after Apple confirms an active renewing subscription. Apple requires the parent to confirm cancellation, renewal, or purchase; Learning Through Stories cannot change billing silently.

Credits buy controlled generation packages, not unlimited AI use. Each draft includes one free text-only retry. Keeping both versions and creating extra stories or Across Time episodes require the matching story credit type. Story Journey chapter completion and both parent reading settings are free. Choosing Read to Me never starts audio automatically or creates new narration. Each successful sourced Historical Figures text response uses 1 Pro Interactive Credit. A five-minute voice session uses 2 Pro Interactive Credits when its first successful sourced voice response is delivered, with a maximum of eight answered turns. Local scope redirects are free, and provider failures return charged credits.

Public Catalogue

Family-created stories remain private unless submitted by a parent. Curator's Pick publication requires admin review and final parent approval.

Public audio and images are available only when they belong to the approved version of a published Curator story. Sources, Truth & Imagination notes, and discussion questions remain visible but are not included in story narration.

We may decline publication for safety, privacy, quality, source, or editorial reasons.
